Enjoy The 4th With This Mermaid Smoothie Bowl
When it gets warm outside, all I want to eat are smoothie bowls. They’re refreshing yet satisfying and come together in less than 5 minutes! If you’re bored of the color of your average bowl, try adding a teaspoon of spirulina for a beautiful blue-green color that will make you feel like a total mermaid.
Spirulina adds extra protein, antioxidants, B-vitamins and other nutrients! If you’re new to the taste of spirulina, try adding 1/4 or 1/2 teaspoon to begin with and add more to taste. I topped mine with a mixture of cacao nibs, mulberries, and granola, but the topping ideas are endless. Enjoy this bowl after your morning workout or as a sweet snack!
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 c frozen cauliflower
- 1 tsp green spirulina
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 cup unsweetened nut milk
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth and top with mulberries, granola, and cacao nibs.
